2021 CTE VIRTUAL SHOWCASE for LEGISLATORS
Especially in 2021, it doesn't matter WHERE you live in Colorado, YOU can be part of the CTE Virtual Showcase for Legislators on Wednesdays in February! We need YOUR participation to spread the word about the great things CTE does for students, for employers and for the community!
MANY VOICES GET MORE ATTENTION FROM LEGISLATORS!!!
HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN DO TO PARTICIPATE!
It's really easy!!!!! Use the CTE Advocacy Lesson Plan to help your students/constituents understand the value of many voices! It's all laid out for you - use as it best works in your classroom or workplace, whether in-person or remote. PLEASE include creation of "I am CTE" video clips as part of your lesson. Students (and everyone) will have fun and can send valuable messages to their specific Colorado Senator and Representative on February 10 and/or 17!

2021 CTE VIRTUAL SHOWCASE for LEGISLATORS SCHEDULE
· February 3: kick-off email to Colorado Legislators from CACTE with Showcase information, link to Colorado CTE Overview video, link to Colorado ACTE 2021 Legislative Priorities and more
· February 10: flood Twitter (legislators' preferred social media) with "I am CTE" videos using 4 hashtags noted in lesson plan; put "I am CTE" videos on other social media sites as well
· February 17: again, flood Twitter (legislators' preferred social media) with "I am CTE" videos using 4 hashtags noted in lesson plan; put "I am CTE" videos on other social media sites as well
· February 24: wrap-up email to Colorado Legislators from CACTE with Colorado CTE information, link to video with clips from CTE programs around the state and more
It will take ALL OF US to capture the attention of our Colorado Legislators! They listen to THEIR CONSTITUENTS! We need participation from all over the state of Colorado to have an impact. WE know how awesome CTE is for students - it's time to share that message with the ENTIRE state!
