Teacher Flight Program



2021-22 Teacher Flight Professional Development Program

The Teacher Flight program at Wings Over the Rockies is a total immersion in aviation industry for K-12 formal educators with direct support for Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. Earn your FAA Ground Instructor or Part 107 Remote Pilot certification! These courses were developed to meet all CTE approval requirements and equip educators with classroom-ready programs. Contact your administrator or district CTE director for funding.


FAA Fundamentals of Instruction Course | July 6-7 – The pedagogy, philosophy, and psychology of educating students in high-risk endeavors.


Aeronautical Knowledge Course | July 8-10 & July 12-15 – A foundation of aeronautical knowledge that is essential for FAA licensure.


Drone Programs and Industry Applications | July 12-16 – Learn how to integrate this new technology into the classroom including regulations, commercial applications, and student competitions.



Save the Date: Aerospace Alley Education Reception | Monday, August 9th, 5-7pm


Hosted at Exploration of Flight, this reception brings together aerospace industry leaders and educators to kick off the new year. Learn about all of the aerospace program offered by nonprofits, universities, as well as career pipelines for your students. This event is open to all Aerospace Alley members as well as current and prospective Teacher Flight educators.
