ITEEA's REACH Challenge
Updated: Oct 18, 2019
ITEEA’s REACH Challenge is an impactful Adaptive & Assistive Technology (AT) design-thinking project for middle school, high school, and college-level STEM programs—showcasing ITEEA’s mission that "Technology and Engineering Bring STEM to Life!"
Teachers are guided through a series of lessons to lead their students to use STEM skills to REACH a member of their community who has a challenge to overcome. This innovative project shows teachers how they can help their students use STEM skills to overcome human challenges for social good, making a real-world difference.
TSA advisors are positioned to be successful with the REACH Challenge as they are experienced in engaging their students. Join ITEEA at 7 p.m. ET on September 17, 2019 for a complimentary STEMinar, “ITEEA REACH Challenge: A STEM Project that Changes Lives.” The STEMinar is generally $45 for non-members, but any TSA advisor can register for this STEMinar at no cost by using the code freePD.
In addition, TSA advisors who register a school team or teams in the ITEEA Reach Challenge will receive:
· a full set of lesson plans, tutorials, etc.
· access to product/service vouchers listed on the REACH Challenge website
As an added incentive, any TSA Advisor who is not a member of ITEEA will be given a one-year complimentary professional membership in order to experience the many benefits of being an active ITEEA member.
